The Awards Shortlist & Entry process:

 
A panel of judges from across the industry will be asked to vote for the winners in each category below.

Nominations open on Thursday, March 3rd

Lobbying closes Friday May 20th

The winners will be announced at the eSports Industry Awards Ceremony on Monday, 21st November


Entry Validity Timescale:
30th October 2015 – 30th October 2016


The entry process –

All candidates who are nominated for awards and are successful in making the shortlist will have the opportunity to supplement their entry with further details between the shortlist announcement date and the 30th October.

This allows entrants to include achievements and relevant information from the 2016 e-Sports season.

 

The ‘supplement’ will have to fit criteria that will be set by the organisers and received by shortlisted candidates immediately following the 16th May shortlist announcement.

 

Best Streaming Platform                  Nominations closed Who is eligible :  
Any online platform involved in live streaming league games, events, or commentary to an international eSports audience

Judging criteria:
* Technical capability
* Promotion of events
* Traffic/subscribers
* Creative ideas
eSports Commercial Partner of the Year                  Nominations closed Who is eligible :  
Any firm sponsoring or otherwise commercially backing the eSports industry

Judging criteria:
* Industry evangelism
* Creative marketing
* Mainstream recognition
eSports Team of the Year                  Nominations closed Who is eligible :  
Any international professional eSports team in any league and specialising in any game - this award is for a team playing a specific game, not a wider brand team

Judging criteria:
* Competitive success from October 2015 – October 2016
* Industry evangelism
* Gaming style
* Team synergy
Best Live Event 2016                  Nominations closed Who is eligible :  
Any eSports tournament or event attended live, associated with any league or game

Judging criteria:
* Attendance
* Coverage
*Critical acclaim
* Innovation
2016 Broadcaster of the Year                  Nominations closed Who is eligible :  
Anyone involved in shoutcasting, commentating, hosting, interviewing or broadcasting in any on-camera position in live professional eSports events or tournaments.

Judging criteria:
* Popularity
* Commentating style
* Knowledge
* Ingenuity
eSports Rookie of the Year                  Nominations closed Who is eligible :  
Anyone that has been working professionally as an eSports athlete - either full-time, part-time or freelance – for less than a year

Judging criteria:
* Competitive success from October 2015 – October 2016
* Industry evangelism
* Flair
New eSports Game of the Year                  Nominations closed Who is eligible :  
A new game introduced from October 2015 - October 2016 (up to the nomination closing period date) which has made a significant impact in the eSports community

Judging criteria:
* Originality
* Innovation and creativity
* Sales success/popularity
* Long term potential,
* Marketing support and impact
Best Hardware Provider                  Nominations closed Who is eligible :  
Any firm who produces specified gaming hardware in the PC or console markets, including peripherals, accessories and components

Judging criteria:
* Industry evangelism
* Product popularity
* Critical acclaim
* Technical ingenuity
Streamer of the Year                  Nominations closed Who is eligible :  
Any individual that produces video content specifically as livestreams. You must have work from October 2015 - October 2016 to support your entry. Work must be predominantly independent and not client-supported

* Follower base
Best eSports Coverage Website 2016 (pre-release)                  Nominations closed Who is eligible :  
Any media outlet that produces regular content dedicated to eSports or which regularly includes eSports as part of a wider remit

Judging criteria:
* Editorial impact,
* Industry evangelism
* Originality of content
* Writing flair
* Design values
eSports Photographer of the Year (pre-release)                  Nominations closed Who is eligible :  
Any photographer covering the international eSports industry, either exclusively for a media outlet or in a freelance capacity

Judging criteria:
* Reach
* Creative impact and flair
* Technical quality
eSports Journalist of the Year (pre-release)                  Nominations closed Who is eligible :  
Any writer covering the international eSports industry, either exclusively for a media outlet or in a freelance capacity in print or online

Judging criteria:

* Originality of content
* Writing flair
UK eSports Player of the Year (pre-release)                  Nominations closed Who is eligible :  
Any professional eSports player with UK nationality

Judging criteria:

Console Player of the Year                  Nominations closed Who is eligible :  
Any professional console specialising eSports athlete

Any company publishing games that have achieved notable commercial or critical success and generally high levels of performance from October 2015 to October 2016 within the eSports community

eSports Game of the Year                  Nominations closed Who is eligible :  
Any game that has made a significant impact in the eSports community from October 2015 and October 2016, regardless of release date

eSports Personality of the Year                  Nominations closed Who is eligible :  
The most prestigious award of the night, this will honour an individual from the eSports industry who in the last year (October 2015 - October 2016) has been a stand-out achiever - either in terms of driving forward a product, raising awareness about an issue or topic, influencing at all levels, or simply being a notable member of the community. This is specifically for activity in the past year and key successes in the last 12 months (October 2015 - October 2016)
